If you want to compete in the 21st century economy, you must have an internet marketing strategy. Marketing via the internet will attract more people to your website.

People all over the world use the internet. And by implementing an internet marketing strategy, you can reach people who are looking for a solution that you have to offer.

And that is what the internet is all about, solutions. People type in a keyword because they have a problem or a question. It is your responsibility to position your business where they find you (their solution).

2. You want to get ranked with the major search engines on the     recommended side (left side). This targeted traffic is free and comes     recommended by the search engines themselves. This builds your     credibility with the visitor. You want to rank within the top 30 which is     the first three pages.

3. Develop and implement an effective Email Marketing Strategy. This     helps drive targeted traffic to your website.

4. Control your niche market with affiliate, associate, and reseller     programs.

5. Develop an opt in email list. This is how you will stay in touch with your     visitor after they leave your website. If you don't have a follow up     program, your visitor may forget about your website and never return.     Keeping your business in the front of their minds will result in many     visits and eventually their business.

6. Publish e-zine articles and write press releases. People like official news     story like information. It offers more credibility to your website. Plus it     is free advertising.

7. Always have something free to give away. People like free stuff. And by     giving them free stuff it gives them a taste and then they want more.     Just like in the grocery store when they have free sample Saturday.     Think about how you got a sample of something, and then you bought     what they were sampling. It’s the same thing.

8. Have a blog so you can interact with customers. Blogs and podcasts     allow you to interact with your customers so they feel they have a     personal connection with you. That helps set you apart from your     competition.

Using these effective internet marketing strategies will only help your business grow. And that's what you want.

By putting the needs of your customers before your own, you will get you what you want. That is so crucial. A lot of times companies put the needs of themselves before their customers, and that mentality usually results in failure.

Your internet marketing strategy should focus on knowing what your customer wants. By figuring out the conversation they have in their head, you will achieve success.
